Pedernales
- 100% owned – includes Alto Colorado Au-Ag epithermal target with strong affinities to nearby Salares Norte gold-silver deposit (25.6 Mt at 4.76 g/t Au and 53.14 g/t Ag)
- Large areas of alteration and anomalous pathfinder geochemistry; Ag-As-Pb-Sb-Hg
- Systematic coverage completed – rock and soil geochemistry, mapping and geophysical surveys
- Well defined targets ready for drilling
Regional View
- The alteration centres are in the regional scale NW trending Culampaja structural lineament
- This lineament is inferred to control the emplacement of porphyry Au-Cu deposits in the Pampean Ranges (including Alumbrera) and epithermal high sulfidation deposits in the Pedernales district
- Salares Norte (Gold Fields Limited) was discovered as a concealed ore-body 100-150m below surface with negligible gold values at surface
Surface Geochemistry
- The tops of epithermal systems can be barren in Au, but at Pedernales there is distinctive strong pathfinder anomalism (Ag-As-Pb-Sb-Bi-Te-Hg)
- Zoned alteration pattern present on the top of the systems
- Nearby lava domes are a key ingredient of the productive systems
- Drill targets are between 100 and 200 m below surface
